Dear Parents,

Hello All! I’m very excited for this week to begin and I hope your child is excited as well. This is the first full week for your kindergartner, so I would suggest attempting to put them to bed as early as possible.

Specials Schedule:

Monday: PE (Newsletters will be sent home in the yellow folder)

Tuesday: Art (Homework will be sent home in the yellow folder)

Wednesday: PE

Thursday: Music (Take Me Home book will be sent home in the yellow folder)

Friday: Music (All paper work and activities will be sent home in your child’s backpack)

Things you need to know:

· Introducing the letter Bb

· I, see, a, and like will be the star words of the week

· Homelink 1.5 has been sent home along with the newsletter; Homelinks are math projects you and your child can do at home during the week. These do not need to be returned to school.

· Your child will begin a science unit on the senses

· Social Studies focus will be on the school community

· We will begin the Breakthrough to Literacy program this week. The first book is In the Mirror.

· Please send in your $5.00 for the classroom periodicals

Please help your child read and write the words of the week. Also, practice the alphabet and the sounds that the letters make.
